2018 Special Feature: Adult & Teen Challenge

Adult & Teen Challenge of the Firelands (TCOTF) is a 12 – 14-month faith-based residential program for women over 18 who are battling the life-controlling problem of substance abuse. Teen Challenge is a nationally-recognized and accredit- ed solution for the drug epidemic. Women who participate in our program are referred to as students during their residency because they are in an intense process of personal growth and self-education.

Teen Challenge of the Firelands began as a vision of several local individuals who wanted to reach the addicted population in Huron County Ohio. Members of the Huron County in Ohio Star sh foundation approached the Ohio Valley Teen Challenge Director in Fall of 2012 to see what they could do to establish a program in their region. Through a series of God ordained events, the old Willard, Ohio Healthcare facility, vacant at the time, was donated to OVTC to use for a Teen Challenge Center to be a new women’s facility. Directors were located in the Fall of 2013. From January 2014 until November 2014 people worked tirelessly to repair, renovate, and transform the facility into a beautiful, cozy haven for women fighting the war with addiction. In November of 2014 Adult & Teen Challenge of the Firelands (TCOTF) opened its doors to welcome residents.
Some of the girls will be sharing their testimony of how God touched their lives.
