2015 Speaker: Danae Dobson

We are delighted to welcome Danae Dobson as the speaker for our 25th
Women ACT Conference! We are certain most women will know her famous parents. Danae is the daughter of Dr. James and Shirley Dobson. Her father is the well-known founder of FOCUS ON THE FAMILY, which he led until 2003. Her mother spearheads THE NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER task force.

Danae is a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and has a heart for people to know the Lord. She was born in Southern California and wrote her first children’s manuscript at the age of 12. The book was entitled Woof! A Bedtime Story About a Dog. Upon publication, she became the youngest author in the 25-year history of Word, Inc. (Dallas). It’s a title she still holds today!

Danae received her Bachelors degree in Communication from Azusa Pacific
University in 1990. She has authored 24 books to date, including the popular
“Woof” series that was spun off from her original story. Her best-selling books have sold over 400,000 copies, and have been released in the United Kingdom and Indonesia.

Danae and her mother recently completed a hospitality project for women entitled Welcome to Our Table. This inspirational book was released in the fall of 2012, and features cherished recipes, inspirational stories, and photos of family gatherings. Other works include Parables for Kids (co-authored with Dr. James Dobson), the Forest Friends series and the Sunny Street Kids’ Club series. Danae has also authored two inspirational books for adolescent girls entitled Let’s Talk! and Let’s Walk the Talk. She has appeared on the 700 Club, Daystar, and Time for Hope, and has been a guest on more than one hundred radio broadcasts including Minirth Meier and Focus on the Family. Danae is active in her speaking ministry, addressing women at church-related events such as banquets, teas, and conferences. She is able to communicate to women of all ages in a winsome way. Her tender heart, witty comments, articulate delivery, and clear Christian content will endear her to all who attend the Women ACT Conference.
