2018 Theme: YOUnique God's Special Possession

"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into HIs wonderful light." 1 Peter 2:9

Each of us are unique to our holy God. He created us in His image. Worthy of His love. We’re a people of His own ‘special possession’ because He purchased us with the blood of His own Son. Only because of His mercy can we be God’s ‘special possession’. Knowing this and receiving this truth should cause us to be continually faithful to Him. We have a responsibility to live a blameless life before our Holy God.

Our lives should radiate the marvelous light into which God has graciously called us. God calls us into different ministries because of our uniqueness. We through our uniqueness love each other to bring glory to our Father in heaven. He has given us a unique personality to be used for His glory in ministry.

Our conference this year is based on I Peter 2:9. This truth gives us our identity in Christ which is an encouragement for our walk with Him. Lisa Meiners will lead us into a deeper meaning and understanding of what God desires from us as His ‘special possession’. 

2018 Speaker: Lisa Meiners

Impacting change in the lives of women through teaching God’s principles and promises is Lisa’s prayer and heartfelt desire. Connecting with women right where they are today, is what she considers pure joy! DEEPER STILL MINISTRIES was founded from Lisa’s heartfelt desire to see every woman of God not only know the truths of God’s Word, but to go DEEPER STILL by applying and living out these important truths. Her hope is that women will take home truths from God’s Word that they can apply to everyday life so that real transformation can occur.

She grew up in Lima, OH and studied elementary education at Nyack College in New York. She currently resides in the Dayton area with her husband Dennis. They have three children. She loves to take walks with her husband, share books with her daughter, spend time watching her boys play sports, and occasionally bake her world-famous oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.

Lisa spoke at the 2013 Women A.C.T. Conference titled “Treasured Possession”. With her passion and excitement of teaching God’s Word we are honored to have Lisa as a returning speaker.

2018 Music: Becky Johnson Blocksom

Becky Johnson Blocksom lives in the big city of Upper Sandusky, Ohio with her husband Bob and their loyal companion "DJ” a Golden Retriever (who leaps tall buildings in a single bound)!
Becky has been singing for over 35 years, believing in the power of music by His anointing, engaged in the R&B gospel music and contemporary Christian music. Her first album was recorded in Nashville a few years ago. Becky is employed at Fairhaven Community as Community Engagement Coordinator and Volunteer Coordinator and worked for United Church Homes over 26 years.

She has performed and worshipped with amazing people and artists along with speaking throughout Northwest Ohio and Tri-State areas at women’s retreats, churches, civic, and various charities sharing a message of hope and believing. Being a part of Women A.C.T. for the second time, she feels doubly blessed and honored to have been asked to participate in this annual event lifting up our God and creator!

Becky will lead us in music and worship to the glory of the Lord. “God is good. In this time of our lives, there has to be an answer....and YES we have that answer so let's share it in a song and laughter.
